So we all know how to check inbound links on Google by typing “link:www.yoursite.com” into the Google search box. The problem is if you have a lot of inbound links, you will be not be able to do much with the results. However, Google is expanding the reporting features of Webmaster Tools so that now you can download to a csv file all of the inbound links with one click.
Assuming you are monitoring you site with Google Webmaster Tools (a necessity!), login and navigate to the “Links” section.

Click on the link labeled “Pages with external links.” This will bring up the page below:

Click on the link at the bottom and you can download a csv file. This is extremely useful if you have (unlike Resolute Digital) a large number of inbound inks. One of our clients has more than 250,000 inbound links, so it was essential to get these links into a database where they could be parsed by domain. Getting the links is one thing; it is something quite again to mange the relationships behind those links so as to make sure they continue to link to the right pages and that they carry the appropriate anchor text.
