We recently moved a client up 8 positions in one month on a competitive search term with quality back links. So the answer to the title of this blog is YES!

Here’s our link building strategy…

Link Building is an extremely labor intensive process. Links are like a popularity contest that the search engines hold. If you get quality sites linking to you on relevant topics it increases the chance of your site ranking higher in the search engine position. You should approach link building with a long-term goal in mind. We believe that all links are not created equal and are cautious in our approach on how we attain links. It’s important to monitor the speed at which we compile back links. The term “link velocity” refers the rate in which you gain or lose links. If you gain or lose links too fast it can have a negative impact on your search rankings.

Our link building approach is one of relationship building and personal outreach. We email and call the webmasters at relevant sites and discuss with them the benefits of linking to our client’s site. We research and establish a list of highly searched and relevant keywords in which we want to target. We make sure that all back links are properly deep linked with the correct anchor text. We pay particular attention to the diversity of our links. We want to make sure we reach numerous sites and not just multiple links from the same site. As we mentioned earlier, all links are not created equal. Focus your priority on getting links from sites that have a strong page rank.

At Resolute we’re extremely data driven so we track and report in detail the number of inbound links month over month as well as any movement in the search engine ranking positions. We strongly suggest you do the same. Happy Link Building!
